It was the first time that a monster was holding a keynote at a conference. … Prof. Amber Beadyeyes is not only our expert for problem based learning, but also very interested in new possiblities of learning within the Social Web. Therefore she interviewed several experts/persons (Anastasia Sfiri, Stephanie Stroka, Behnam Taraghi, Dr. Christian Glahn & Dr. Martin Ebner). All are active in the Web and potentially developing competences. Summaries of these videos are online at Youtube and also included within the slides of the humanoid co-keynote speaker Sandra Schaffert.
Hey this is really cool: One of our professors, Amber Beadyeyes, was asked to hold a keynote at the e-learning conference “eLearning Tag der FH Joanneum” (Graz, Austria)… if you like to see and hear her (in German:)
Amber will be assisted by a humanoid woman … to the best of our knowledge this is the first time that a monster will hold a keynote in the humans’ world.
PS: This is a snapshoot when she talked to her boss telling the news …
Roddy met Prof. Rolf Schulmeister (University of Hamburg) at the FNMA Conference in Vienna. They are talking about the future of technology enhanced learning.
Roddy had the opportunity to talk to Peter Scott, Director of the KMI Institute of the Open University UK. Roddy and Peter talk about the importance of reflection and assessment (especially FOR learning).
No, we monsters are no poets. But we love poems and like to read poems. So it was very easy to convince us to participate on a project initiated by Oliver Bendel: He wants to share and distribute some of his poems with YOUR help: He ask to read one of the poems from his book (online) and publish it as a video in the Web. – The poems and the project description are written in German!! Feel free to join us!
Polly and Roddy gave their best: Roddy read “Die Körper” and Polly “Die Blumen”.
The EduMedia09 is over and we had a great time there, although they had no special fees for monsters (as Snook argued) and bad time tables (over day, not night, as Amber argued).
First of all, Ralf Klamma (a social media expert and excellent researcher!) was very polite in our short twitter discussion … but then he posted the following: Friday, April 10, 2009 “I will not talk to nice monsters on twitter”
… We are still discussing the background and reasons for this strange behaviour. It seems to be human .
